Before and after school care

Mānuka school staff coordinate with a range of daily supervision programs that parents and caregivers use to care for their children out of school hours. We have one program available onsite and several programs that pick up children from the school office after school. We also share information with parents about local school holiday programs through our school newsletter.

Skids (Safe kids in daily supervision)

The SKIDS  daily supervision program is hosted on the Mānuka School grounds. This is a privately run, program for before and after school care at a reasonable cost for families.

SKIDS are open before school from 7 am until 8:30 am (when they organise the children to go to class). They then reopen from 3pm until 6pm for afterschool care.

Healthy food is provided to the children in these sessions, as well as arts, crafts, games and activities. Homework support is also available to children.

In the school Holidays, SKIDS run daily programs in Birkenhead. Information on these holiday programs including costs and activities are included in the end of term newsletters.
