The Arts at Mānuka school
The four strands of the arts
The four strands of the arts
The Arts in the New Zealand Curriculum is structured around the four disciplines of Dance, Drama, Music, and Visual Arts.
The students at our school are exposed to all areas of the arts through classroom inquiry time, in-school events (for example our Matariki celebrations), in-school providers (footsteps dance and drama) and through school groups such as our Kapa haka and choir.
Our school is alive with beautiful artworks made by our students. This creates an inspiring and vibrant environment to learn in and allows the children to value and enjoy their own creativity.
You can also view our school's artwork on display at the Glenfield Library.
