The Kapa Haka

The Kapa Haka group has been running for many years. We are very proud of this group who perform at special assemblies and ceremonies at our school and in the local community.

The group meet at lunchtime once per week to practice .

Our Kapa Haka perform annually at the Onepoto Cultural Festival.

When students join the Kapa Haka they are asked to make 100% commitment .

Kids for Kids Choir

The Manuka School choir is run by Mrs Dickson and Mrs Whitlock this year. The 20 strong choir meet one or twice a week to sing together. They will be participating in the annual Kids for Kids Festival in term 4. For more information please see the official web page

All that Jazz

We are very lucky to have a lovely parent, Michelle Hermens, giving up her lunch time every Wednesday to come and teach Jazz dancing to our year five and six girls. There are currently 13 girls who are learning to dance. They will perform at school events later in the year

Marimba

Manuka School has had a very strong Marimba group for many years.

Every year Mrs Dickson spends a lot of her time teaching 10-15 senior students to work together as a marimba group. They then perform regularly at school assemblies and events. They also participate in the annual Auckland Marimba Festival.
